Especially, such problems at crossroads and fixed places where buses stop, for instance, BRT, affect service ability and life of roads largely. Application of anti-rutting asphalt mixture mainly aims at reducing strain and deformation generated by bituminous concrete under effect of vehicle load, decreasing remainders that cannot be recovered in deformation, improving the ability of bituminous pavement to resist deformation under high temperature and delaying generation of rutting. Anti-rutting asphalt mixture refers to the asphalt mixture where anti-rutting additive is added by dry method and high-temperature stability is improved.

1. ZTA-RA improves the high temperature performance and the resistance of water loss of asphalt, which reduces the possibility of rutting from high temperature sprinkling in summer.

2. ZTA-RA raises the adhesion grade of bitumen and stone, both acid aggregate and alkaline aggregate can reach level 5, saving the use of anti-peeling agents/additives, and does not even need to add anti-stripping agent/additives.

3. The strong viscosity of ZTA-RA increases the softening point of asphalt, reduces the sensitivity to temperature of asphalt, and increases the adhesion of bitumen to mineral aggregates.

4. ZTA-RA improves the performances of low-temperature frost resistance, water damage resistance and rutting resistance of the asphalt pavement.

5. The dosage is smaller and the effect is remarkable. The dosage is 0.3-0.4% of the asphalt mixture, and the dynamic stability can be increased from 1500times/mm to about 15000times/mm.

6. ZTA-RA improves the high temperature performance of asphalt mixture, and the asphalt has strong resistance to deformation in summer and effectively resists pavement deformation and prevents the appearance of road rutting.

7. The dynamic modulus of ZTA-RA modified asphalt mixture at 55°C is about twice that of SBS modified asphalt mixture.

8. The elastic component of ZTA-RA has a function of recovering the elastic recovery of the deformation portion of the pavement at a higher temperature, thereby reducing reduces the risk of permanent deformation of the pavement.
